Eid Mubarak

Today mark the date of Eid Mubarak. All muslims in the world starts the celebration of this most important day of Islam after the month of Ramadan. Muslims in the world fast from dawn til dusk in ramadan by not consuming anything and restrict themselves from most humanly desire. This include sex, smoking, gossiping, cursing, anger. Muslims has to be vigilant in maintaining their patience.
When we restrain ourselves from eating and drinking, it helps reminding us the millions of people in the world that are poor and in poverty. That is where Zakat come about where we would gives money to the poor and needy. This reminds us not to waste our food. Its not an easy task especially for those people who work in physical environment. Imagine yourself as early as 9 in the morning after carrying a lot of work and you start to feel very thirsty. You still got another 8 hours to go before you can start to drink!
So.....after 30 days of fasting, muslims will celebrate eid mubarak with grandest celebration. New clothes, furnitures and huge arrays of food. Muslims in Singapore practices doing visiting to their relatives and friends. Its a common practices that we ask for forgiveness among each other and hoping to meet again comes the next Eid Mubarak. We would also visit the grave to those that have left us from this world and offer prayers. And for those who doesnt have their own income, it is a time where cash gift in green packet are distributed from adults. Kids love Eid MUbarak because this the only time where they would received a lot of cash..... And for the adults, well its only for one month. A lot of us will spend on this month. I mean huge. We normally tend to forget when giving but feels very happy because it is just a cycle. We collect the 'gifts' when we young so when we grow up, it's time for us to give back.

So to all the muslims in the world, I wish you all Eid Mubarak. And many thanks for reading
